Class

In class we had some great feedback and it was really helpful because we needed people to help us with our idea. We were really struggling because we spent forever coming up with a name for our brand as we were trying to convey so much through the name, but then we realised the packaging can also do that for us.

We got a bit of a telling off from the tutor about how much work we had done, but that was only because the name so sooo tricky and I didn't want to start designing anything until we had come up with a name because that changes everything. For example the packing for 'cheeky monkeys' would be completely different to 'chomp bandits'. So it was really important to me to get the name down first.

We have divided up jobs to be done between us this week, mainly the things to go in the booklet which we have touched on but not to the final extent. I will also be creating heaps of iterations for our packaging, and having a go at testing the different flavours and seeing what reactions people would have to them to have an idea of promotion or attitudes.

Also our product was going to be a box based on the idea of it being a game but then we realised we were moving too far away from farmbake and a bag is so much easier than a box to open, and our box was very big so not an easy thing to store in the pantry or take to a social gathering.

Our packing is heading towards something bright, fun, bubbly, youthful and energetic and we will strive this week to shift gear!
